When the Denver Broncos opened preseason play last week, all eyes were on Peyton Manning. He was making his Bronco debut after sitting out the 2011 season due to injury. Manning will be back in action this week when the Broncos host the Seattle Seahawks, but he will have to share the spotlight with another future Hall of Fame player making his debut after not playing in 2011.
Terrell Owens will make his Seahawks debut on Sunday after not playing in the team's preseason opener. Owens signed with the Seahawks on August 6 after not playing in the NFL in 2011. Owens will join a receiver group in Seattle which includes Sidney Rice. Like Owens, Rice did not play in the preseason opener and despite returning to practice this week, he is not expected to play against Denver.
While Manning made his debut last week, rookie running back Ronnie Hillman will likely have to wait at least another week to make his Bronco debut. The third-round pick is still suffering from a hamstring injury he suffered at the start of training camp. Denver will also be without guard Chris Kuper who broke a bone in his forearm during practice Tuesday.
Game Date/Time: Saturday, August 18; 9:00 p.m. ET
Location: Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Denver, Colo.
