Browns Take Josh Gordon With 2nd Round Pick, Only Player Selected in NFL Supplemental Draft

The 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft has come and gone and the Cleveland Browns used their 2013 2nd round pick to select former Baylor WR Josh Gordon. Gordon was the only player selected in the draft and will now head north to Cleveland to start working with presumptive Browns' QB Brandon Weeden. He'll have a lot of rust to shed after sitting out the 2011 college football season after being dismissed from Baylor following an arrest related to marijuana.

The Seahawks had some assumed interest in Gordon, attended his pro day on Tuesday, but we'll never know just how serious they were about him; the Browns were the only team to submit a 2nd round bid so it appears they were far and away the most interested in the receiver.

There were also thoughts that Carson Newman linebacker Larry Lumpkin could perhaps be chosen in today's draft by the Seahawks after they were one of two teams to attend his pro day on Wednesday. He went undrafted and now becomes a free agent, so he's a name to watch in Seattle as a possible free agent signing.
