Matt Hasselbeck is one of the most beloved Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks of all time. Jake Locker is a native son of Washington who led the Washington Huskies to a Holiday Bowl win and was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Now these two favorites of the Northwest are battling for a starting quarterback position -- for the Tennessee Titans.
Josh Alper at ProFootballTalk reports that Hasselbeck and Locker are splitting reps right down the middle during practices. Titans head coach Mike Munchak plans on continuing to give the two QBs equal time all the way up into preseason play before he makes a final decision as to who will be the everyday quarterback going forward into the 2012 regular season.
Although these two players with deep Washington ties will be playing halfway across the country, Seahawks fans can take great comfort in one thing: this year's Seattle team will almost certainly be much better than this year's Titans team.
