With the 75th pick of the 3rd round in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected Russell Wilson, a quarterback from the University of Wisconsin. Wilson has been a winner at every stage of his career and led the Badgers to a Rose Bowl appearance. He threw for 3,175 yards in 2011 (and 11,720 in his career) and 33 touchdowns. Wilson threw just four interceptions all year in a tough Big 10.
Here is more on Wilson from Sports Illustrated.
Wilson is a physically gifted athlete who displayed solid improvement as a quarterback the past three seasons. His success at the next level will be determined by his ability to quickly pick up and play within an NFL passing system.
The Seahawks' next pick is the 11th selection of the 4th round, which is 106 overall. They also have pick No. 114 in the fourth. Head over to NFL.com to track every pick as the Draft moves on.
