Mel Kiper Mock Draft 2012 Has Seahawks Taking Chandler Jones

The Seattle Seahawks are ready for the 2012 NFL Draft, and have the twelfth pick in the first round. The Seahawks have a few needs on both the offensive and the defensive side of the football, and they could probably use a few pass rushers.

Mel Kiper released his latest and final mock draft for Thursday's first round (click here to see if there's an ESPN Insider account) and the Seattle Seahawks end up taking one of the top pass rushers in the draft, Chandler Jones of the Syracuse Orange. Jones could really be needed.

The Seahawks need a pass-rusher, and I really like the fit. Pete Carroll can use a player with Jones' length and athleticism in a "Leo" role, and create an added dimension to the rush. The Seahawks will have built a pretty formidable defense if they can add a final piece or two up front. Jones makes sense here.

To discuss the possibility of Jones being taken by the Seahawks, head on over to Field Gulls. Check out whether Jones and Syracuse football fans, go to Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Magician. Discuss more mock drafts over at Mocking The Draft.
