Oregon Ducks running back LaMichael James was really good in the Pac-12, and helped lead his team to three straight Rose Bowl appearances. James is on the diminutive side though, so he might have trouble translating that play to the next level as an NFL feature back.
DraftTek releases his latest mock, and James was picked in the second round with the 38th pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars already have a mainstay runner in Maurice Jones-Drew, but Jacksonville could use more offensive weapons, and James definitely is the type of player who can really provide additional options on the field.
Surprise, surprise; LaMichael James is the 3rd RB to come off the board. The Jags are in the market for playmakers and James fits the bill. James' 4.37 speed would be a welcome addition in the open field. It's uncertain as to how Rashad Jennings will recover from his knee injury that forced him to miss last season. Deji Karim was a disappointment therefore they must look in another direction. James would be the perfect complement to MJD thus helping out with some of the heavy lifting.
