The Seattle Seahawks are armed with the 12th overall pick at the 2012 NFL Draft. There are numerous areas of their roster that need to be addressed, but most feel they will look at either a defensive lineman or linebacker in the first round. Given the lack of available wide receivers or quarterbacks in the middle of the first round, this seems like a smart way to go for Seattle.

USA Today recently surveyed numerous draft experts for their first round projections.

Jarrett Ball has the Seahawks going with Memphis DT Dontari Poe, who put on a show at the NFL Combine. Jim Corbett has the club going with linebacker Luke Kuechly out of Boston College. Both Nate Davis of USA Today and Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com have Seattle going with defensive end Quinton Coples out of North Carolina, while Wes Bunting of National Football Post has Whitney Mercilus heading to the Hawks.

The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft is set for Thursday, April 26 from New York City.
