Mock Draft 2012: Seahawks Select DE Quinton Coples According To SI's Don Banks' Latest Mock

The landscape of the 2012 NFL draft seems to ebb and flow with every passing day and mock draft, though the Seattle Seahawks are focused on getting the best possibly talent for their team with the No. 12 overall pick.

Sports Illustrated's Don Banks has been busy scouting all the talent, recently releasing his latest installment of his 2012 mock draft. And with the twelfth overall pick, the Seattle Seahawks will select defensive end Quinton Coples out of the University of North Carolina.

Here's what Banks thinks of Coples and the Seahawks:

There's a lot to love about the young defense the Seahawks are assembling, but they've got to create more pressure on opposing passers. Coples could drop well into the teens, but he's got double-digit sack talent if Pete Carroll and Co. can figure out how to keep his intensity and effort level high at all times.

Intensity and effort levels have never really been issues for Pete Carroll, and a stud defender like Coples joining the fray would be a great use of their pick here. Obviously there is a lot of talent to choose from this year, but if Coples is still around when Seattle hits the clock not many could complain with their decision to choose him.
