NFL Mock Draft 2012: Devon Still Looking To Impress At NFL Combine, Selected By Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are looking to return to the postseason once again after just missing out in 2011. The team has multiple needs to address with their draft picks at the 2012 NFL Draft, and a strong showing could propel the Seahawks back into the playoffs should they strike gold with their selections.

While some mock drafts have Seattle taking a wide receiver or linebacker with the No. 11 overall pick, the latest update from SB Nation has them taking a defensive stopper up the middle.

12. Seattle Seahawks, Devon Still, DT, Penn State

Seattle already has a pretty solid defensive line, but it needs a little more to threaten opposing quarterbacks. The Penn State product provides that as well as the flexibility to move around in Gus Bradley's hybrid defense. This pick could change if the Combine reshuffles the rankings for pass rushers. Another factor to consider here is whether or not Red Bryant gets away in free agency, though he has said he would like to stay.

There is little doubt that Still has the athleticism and potential to become a force at DT in the NFL, although finding a spot for him to play out of the gate may be an issue. As the snippet mentions, the Seahawks already have a strong defensive line and it figures to be in place for the foreseeable future should Bryant return.

Still continues to be linked to Seattle and his performance at the 2012 NFL Combine will likely have a big impact on his draft stock moving forward.
