2012 NFL Free Agency: Seahawks Plus Matt Flynn Equals Success?

It's not a huge secret that the Seahawks need to upgrade the quarterback position to have success in 2012. If they can re-sign Marshawn Lynch and they find a new quarterback, they can build off a 7-9 season in which the Seahawks showed flashes of brilliance.

CBSSports.com's Pete Prisco thinks one of the ways that the Seahawks can upgrade the quarterback position is to acquire Green Bay Packers quarterback Matt Flynn, who is set to become a free agent on March 13.

Hey, they have to try and upgrade that position again. Flynn is a risk, but sometimes you need to take those chances.

Tarvaris Jackson completed 271 passes for 3,091 yards, 14 touchdowns and 13 interceptions for a passer rating of 79.2. They won't be in the position to select one of the top two quarterbacks in this year's draft class, but they can find a quarterback in free agency. Signing Flynn would be a big risk, considering that he only started in one game in 2011, but in that game he showed a lot of promise.
