Seahawks vs. Jets injury report: Six Seattle starters didn't practice on Thursday

The Seahawks injury report was full on Thursday, with six starters missing practice.

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

The Seattle Seahawks wrapped up their second full day of practice this week on Thursday, but if the injury report is any indication, Seattle is hurting at a number of key positions, a possible factor as they take on the New York Jets on Sunday.

Six starters, including four on the defensive side, did not practice on Thursday. Safety Kam Chancellor, defensive end Red Bryant and linebacker K.J. Wright all missed practice for the second straight day. Starting cornerback Richard Sherman also missed practice on Thursday. Sherman sat out with an illness, while Wright continues to miss time due to the concussion he suffered against Minnesota. Bryant missed practice with a foot injury, and Chancellor sat out with a quadriceps injury.

On the offensive side, Marshawn Lynch missed practice for the second straight day with back and wrist injuries. Lynch has battled a back injury through much of his tenure with the Seahawks, but the wrist injury is something new this week. Left guard James Carpenter missed last week's game with a concussion and has not practiced this week.

Thursday's complete injury report can be found at the Seahawks official website.
