The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 30-20, on Sunday to improve to 5-4 on the season and a perfect 4-0 at home.
Head coach Pete Carroll was pleased with the play of Russell Wilson and the team's third-down defense against Minnesota. The Vikings were 3-of-10 on third down versus the Seahawks.
Carroll was happy with the defense as they put pressure on the offensive line and loved that they were able to "harass the quarterback."
Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder was 11-of-22 passing for 63 yards and one touchdown. Ponder was also sacked four times in the game for a loss of 19 yards.
Carroll said that quarterback Russell Wilson did a great job handling all the situations in the game and ran well when the opportunities presented themselves.
Wilson was 16-of-24 passing for 173 yards and three touchdowns while rushing nine times for 27 yards.
Seattle is in second in the NFC West, behind the 6-2 San Francisco 49ers.
