Former Seattle Seahawks' head coach and Cleveland Browns executive Mike Holmgren hasn't ruled out a return to coaching, according to Fan Nation.
After ending a three-year stint as the Browns' team president, rumor has it that Holmgren could return to the sidelines as early as next season, when the Cowboys' may be in the market for a new head coach. Given the team's talent-laden roster, commitment to acquiring the best players and his relationship with team owner and general manager Jerry Jones, the situation could an ideal fit for the legendary coach.
Current head coach Jason Garrett is thought to be on the hot seat as the Cowboys have had an up-and-down season at 4-5 and are fighting for a playoff spot in the competitive NFC. The situation that would attract Holmgren to coach again has to be a perfect fit, according to sources close to him. If Dallas doesn't fit that mold, he's likely to retire from the National Football League altogether.
