Fantasy Football 2012: Marshawn Lynch faces a stingy Patriots run defense

The New England Patriots boast an improved run defense, but Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is still a must-start at running back for fantasy owners on Sunday.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been the most consistent fantasy player on the team's roster this season, and heading into a Week 6 matchup with the New England Patriots, he remains a must-start running back for fantasy owners.

Lynch has only found his way into the end zone twice in 2012, but he hasn't rushed for less than 85 yards in a game this season. He is – as usual – a no-brainer start in Week 6, but fantasy owners shouldn't expect a breakout week from him against a stingy Patriots run defense that is ranked eighth in the NFL in yards allowed per game (82.2). With quarterback Russell Wilson struggling, the Seahawks might have to rely on their strong running game regardless of the Patriots' improved run defense, so Lynch should see plenty of touches.

Kickoff for Sunday's game is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. PT at CenturyLink Field and the game will be televised on CBS.
