The Seattle Seahawks open as three-point underdogs against the New England Patriots at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, according to OddsShark.com.

Though the Seahawks are coming off an underwhelming 16-12 victory against the 1-4 Carolina Panthers, the thin margin this week is thanks to them being 8-4 straight up over the past twelve games and an impressive 10-2 against the spread. But the Patriots aren't slouches themselves. Tom Brady and company come into Seattle with a 14-4 record straight up in the past 18 games and 14-3-1 against the spread during that span, OddsShark.com reports.

Sunday's game will also be a breaking point for the Seahawks on both sides of the ball.

The defense is a top-five in opponent passing and rushing yards and will face New England's top-10 passing offense and the third best rushing offense in the NFL.

Both the Patriots' pass defense and the Seahawks' pass offense are among the worse units in the league.
