The Seattle Seahawks had about as successful of a Sunday as a team can have, beating the Carolina Panthers, 16-12, on the road, without a single player suffering any sort of major injury.
And the Seahawks (3-2) have been able to avoid the injury bug for most of 2012 even with right guard John Moffitt sitting out again Sunday with a knee issue. Nickelback Marcus Trufant was able to power through his sore back against the Panthers leaving Moffitt as the only non-healthy inactive for Seattle.
In non-injury news, Seahawks right tackle Breno Giacomini was benched in favor of journeyman Frank Omiyale Sunday after committing two personal fouls in the game. It is unclear at this point if Omiyale will continue to hold down the starting gig beyond Week 5 or if head coach Pete Carroll was simply sending his lineman a message.
The Seahawks will now head back home with the New England Patriots set to visit Seattle for next Sunday's afternoon showdown.
