Coming off a 19-13 loss at St. Louis last week, the Seattle Seahawks will be on the road for the second straight week when they head to Carolina to face the Panthers on Sunday.
Seattle is 2-0 at home this season, but 0-2 on the road with two narrow losses. The Seahawks' defense should be tested against Cam Newton and a strong Panthers running game. Carolina ranks 11th in the NFL averaging 122 rushing yards per game, including 41.8 per game from Newton. Through four games, Seattle has the second-best run defense, allowing just 62.8 yards per game.
On the other side of the ball, all eyes will be on rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. The Seahawks rank last in the league in passing offense, averaging just 130.8 yards per game. Wilson has yet to throw for more than 160 yards in any game and is coming off a three interception performance against the Rams.
Seattle will likely once again rely on Marshawn Lynch to carry the load offensively. Lynch leads the NFL with 423 rushing yards and has gained at least 85 yards in every game.
The Panthers opened as 2-point betting favorites. Seattle has relished the underdog role so far this season, going 2-0 in games where they are not favored. Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 4:05 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FOX.
