The Seattle Seahawks made some rosters moves Tuesday after they fell to the Detroit Lions, 28-24, on Sunday.

Seattle released defensive back Danny Gorrer while placing wide receiver Ben Obomanu on injured reserved.

The Seahawks also promoted wide receiver Jermaine Kearse and tackle Mike Person from the practice squad to the active roster while signing wide receiver Phil Bates to the practice squad.

Kearse played four years for the Washington Huskies where he earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 as a senior in 2011 and left the school ranked second in career receptions (180), receiving yards (2,871) and receiving touchdowns (29).

The Seahawks have lost two games in a row for the first time this season as they fell to Detroit and San Francisco in the last two weeks to fall to 4-4 on the season.

Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson is leading the team's passing attack that is averaging 171.1 yards per game, which ranks 31st in the league.
