The Seattle Seahawks will travel to Ford Field to take on the Detroit Lions in an effort to stay in the hunt for the NFC West division title.

The Seahawks will pit their highly-touted defense against the No. 4 offense in the NFL led by quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson. The Lions come into the contest averaging a hearty 307 yards per game through the air, while Seattle allows 212.3 a game. Run defense is where the Seahawks have excelled in 2012, allowing just 85 yards per game.

On offense, Seattle has ridden the coattails of running back Marshawn Lynch, who is the NFL's fourth leading rusher with 652 yards per game through seven games. His ability to penetrate the Lions' defense will take major pressure off of rookie quarterback Russell Wilson.

At 2-4, the Lions are vying to get back into the race for the NFC North division, where they currently lie in fourth place.
