Seahawks Free Agency 2012: Seattle Signs Three More to Futures Contracts

The Seahawks are wasting no time in their now customary offseason roster churn, signing three more players to futures contracts. The Hawks signed WR Charly Martin, DT Adrian Taylor, and RB Tyrell Sutton, and that brings the number of 'futures' players signed in the last week to ten. They join DE Pierre Allen, LB/RB Allen Bradford, CB Coye Francies, DE John Graves, DB Jesse Hoffman, TE John Nalbone and OG Brent Osborne as prospects the Seahawks front office and coaching staff would like to see a little more of this offseason, and they'll likely all fight for roster spots come August.

Charly Martin is a wide receiver out of West Texas A&M, that has also spent time with the Panthers and Jaguars this last season. He was originally signed by the Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2009, bounced around a bit, and will hope to find a home in Seattle.

Adrian Taylor is a defensive tackle out of Oklahoma that went undrafted in 2010, mostly due to a rash of leg injuries he accumulated in his final season there. Now that he's apparently healed from severe ankle and achilles injuries, the 6'4, 310 pound DT will look to impress this offseason and win a spot as a rotational player on the Seahawks defensive line.

Running Back Tyrell Sutton has spent some time on and off a few NFL rosters since being signed as an Undrafted Free Agent with the Packers in 2009, out of Northwestern. He's a hybrid of Marshawn Lynch and Justin Forsett at 5'8, 230, and will hope to turn some heads as the Seahawks decide what to do with Lynch and Forsett, both free agents going into next season.
