Seahawks Part Ways With Tackle Will Robinson

The Seattle Seahawks have decided to let go of tackle Will Robinson, according to ESPN Seattle. Robinson is a fourth-year player and will have to seek employment elsewhere as the 2011 NFL season gets set to begin on Thursday.

Robinson spent last season with the Seahawks but did not see any playing time at all. He spent the year prior (in 2009) with the Washington Redskins and had similar difficulties, playing in only one game. For his career, Robinson has played in only one game and appears to be a journeyman in the NFL. The 26-year-old product out of San Diego State is still relatively young though and could make a name for himself elsewhere.

The Seahawks continue to make final changes as the 2011 season approaches, and the front office will have to make more decisions in the next few days. Seattle is scheduled to take on the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 on Sunday, Sept. 8th. The game will start at 1:15 PT and will be available on FOX.
