The Seahawks released their injury report today and not surprisingly, receiver Sidney Rice has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Steelers. Also ruled out were linebacker Dexter Davis, cornerback Byron Maxwell, fullback Michael Robinson, and tackle Jarriel King. Linebacker Malcolm Smith was listed as doubtful. With the injuries to Davis, Maxwell, Robinson and Smith, the already reeling Seahawks special teams will be shorthanded.
The good news is that Pete Carroll has confirmed that Robert Gallery is good to go and will start at left guard on Sunday. Carroll also confirmed that rookie James Carpenter will move back to right tackle. Gallery's return should benefit the Seahawks young and inexperienced line that will be facing a very tough test against the blitz-crazy Steelers.
On the defensive side, it's looking like middle linebacker David Hawthorne will be a full-go as well. He's officially listed as probable but Carroll mentioned that he'll play on Sunday.
One other roster notable: Pete Carroll noted that wide receiver Kris Durham may be active this week because of Sidney Rice's injury. Durham was listed as inactive last week against the 49ers.
