MyNorthwest.com passed along some pretty interesting comments from Cortland Finnegan on the Seahawks' former quarterback and his new teammate Matt Hasselbeck. When Finnegan heard that the Titans had signed Hasselbeck to a 3-year contract, here were his thoughts (from a radio interview on 104.5 the Zone):
"He throws the ball with good checkdowns, good intermediate passing game. That's a west coast offense they run, he throws the ball quick. I don't fear his deep ball. Don't get me wrong, he's great at what he's done. Pro Bowls, All Pros, even playing in the Super Bowl, but for what we have going, what direction I want to go and the team wants to go, I don't know if he fits what we need, but I'm not the GM, I'm not the front office."
Not exactly a good first impression but this is a guy that got in a fist fight with Andre Johnson on the field last year so he's not exactly known for good ettiquete. I'm sure Matt will have fun handling that one once he reports for duty in Nashville.
For what it's worth, Finnegan is infinitely more excited about Jake Locker's prospects, so check out the piece at MyNorthwest.com for his thoughts on the former Husky.
