Pete Carroll's Twitter account is a never-ending source of offbeat entertainment and Thursday was no different. Carroll took time out of his busy schedule to banter back-and-forth with Rob Riggle on the popular social media platform, discussing the lockout, conditioning and Old Spice Swagger ratings. It was amazing, to say the least.
The banter got started when Riggle told Carroll he was ready for the season and that this year was the year. Riggle simply wanted a shot with the Seahawks.
Okay @PeteCarroll, I'm ready for another shot with the team! This is the year! http://say.ly/GRxxmT
Carroll's interest was piqued, but first he had some concerns that needed to be addressed. Of course, Carroll wants his players to come to camp in shape.
@RobRiggle with the lockout I’m concerned about your conditioning level… what kind of offseason have you had big fella?
From there, the conversation spiraled downward as Riggle directed it towards beer and XBox games.
@PeteCarroll conditioning? No problem! Actually dropped some lbs... down to a 6 pack a night... thumb strength from xbox is unrivaled.
Naturally, Carroll played right along, bringing up controller trigger buttons and quickness.
@RobRiggle impressive! but we need to know if you have enough quickness to utilize the L2 and R2 buttons properly?
And finally, the Seahawks head coach showed off his knowledge of video games, bringing up Riggle's Swagger rating and Tom Zbikowski.
@RobRiggle and there's probably no way your old spice swagger rating is as high as tom zbikowski's 45... right?
