At this point, the Seattle Seahawks may become the West Coast version of the Minnesota Vikings. As it stands, Seattle has already brought Darrell Bevell, a former Vikings offensive coordinator, into the mix in the same role. Now, the Seahawks are looking at two free agents from Minnesota: Tarvaris Jackson and Sidney Rice.
We've known all along about Jackson, who may be a stop-gap at quarterback. But on Tuesday, Rice's name emerged, and he may be a solid fit in Seattle.
NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports the Seahawks are "making a play" for free agent WR Sidney Rice.Seattle has deep pockets and a fairly desperate need for a legit No. 1 receiver. They also have an in with Rice, as new offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell coached him the past few years. From a fantasy perspective, it's hard to envision a scenario worse than catching passes from Tarvaris Jackson in Seattle.
