2011 NFL Free Agents: Steve Young Likes Matt Hasselbeck In San Francisco

The quarterback situation may be like kicking dominoes during the 2011 NFL free agency bonanza, and the Seattle Seahawks are expected to join the carousel. With only one quarterback on the roster -- Charlie Whitehurst -- the Seahawks have a clear need, and should be players in either free agency of the trade market as the team looks to secure a stop-gap, at the very least. Matt Hasselbeck, Carson Palmer, Tarvaris Jackson and many others have been linked to the Seahawks, with every analyst trying to figure out how the quarterback shuffle will play out.

Steve Young hopped into the free agency mix, offering his opinion on the quarterback landscape. Young thinks Matt Hasselbeck ends up with the 49ers, Carson Palmer joins the Seahawks and Donovan McNabb heads to Minnesota (via Rob Staton).

Steve Young just said Matt Hasselbeck to San Fran, Carson Palmer to Seattle and D.McNabb to Minnesota. Can't see MH in SF.

As soon as Tuesday, the carousel will start spinning. Teams are allowed to begin negotiating with free agents and with each other, in an effort to trade, at 7 a.m. PDT on Tuesday. And if the big game of quarterback roulette happens like most believe, it may be settled in the morning.

We don't know, however, who will end up where at this point. The Seahawks have been strongly linked to Jackson, Palmer if the Cincinnati Bengals will trade him, and even Hasselbeck, though that appears to be a long-shot at this point. It all adds up to a whole lot of uncertainty. Luckily, it shouldn't last long.
