NFL Draft 2011: Cortez Kennedy To Announce Seahawks Second Round Pick

The NFL is doing something a little different at the draft this year, having legends from every team announce the second round picks on Friday night in prime-time. Instead of Roger Goodell or one of his deputies announcing the pick, some of the great names of the game -- Barry Sanders, Shannon Sharpe, Marshall Faulk and others -- will step to the podium and announce picks for their respective teams. It's a fun idea, and should add extra intrigue for fans tuning-in to watch the NFL Draft.

For the Seattle Seahawks, Cortez Kennedy has the honors this year. Kennedy fell just short of the Hall of Fame again this year, but is inching closer each time his name comes up. He's already in the Seahawks Ring of Honor at Qwest field and is a legend here in Seattle. Kennedy is the perfect pick to announce the Seahawks draft choice and seeing him at Radio City Music Hall should bring back fond memories for Seattle fans.
