Seahwks Vs.49ers Score Update: Doug Baldwin TD Catch Gives Seattle 7-0 Lead After First Quarter

The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16 NFL action. The Seattle team knows that if they want to keep their postseason hopes alive for at least one more week, they will need to pick up their fourth straight win against a tough Niners team that just dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.

Through one quarter of play, the Seahawks are proving themselves to be a legitimate threat to the playoff-bound NFC West champs. Wide receiver Doug Baldwin grabbed a 13-yard pass from Tarvaris Jackson less than five minutes into the first quarter to open the scoring and put the Seahawks on top early, 7-0. Niners coach Jim Harbaugh had mentioned in the past week that he wishes he had been able to draft Baldwin for his own team. Certainly that touchdown didn't change his opinion of the rookie.

The Seahawks began another drive midway through the first quarter, once again relying on their star running back Marshawn Lynch, but came up short and were forced to punt. They managed to hold off the Niners for the rest of the first quarter and hold a 7-0 lead at the beginning of the second quarter.
