We all know the Pete Carroll from interviews and press conferences and almost unfailingly he's high-energy, upbeat, and positive. Carroll developed a philosophy years ago, based on some of his role models and the things he learned in his sports psychology educational background. The things he says, the way he treats his players and coaches, and the way he presents himself are all calculated and meaningful. That's why watching him and hearing him in action is actually pretty fascinating.
↵You can say what you like about his methods and style, but you have to admit his enthusiasm is contagious. Check out the latest NFL Films' production of Sound FX, featuring Pete Carroll in last Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
↵Because NFL.com doesn't allow embedding, follow this link to the Seahawks webpage to watch the video. Obviously, it would have been more fun to watch him in a win, but the way he acts and communicates with his team, even in a loss, is interesting to watch.
↵Also interesting is the window into the relationship Carroll has with his coaching staff and players - one of trust and delegation. He's chatting with his offensive coordinator and quarterback about what plays to call. He's pumping his coaches up to get their players together. He's pumping his players up to play at their highest level. I honestly find it interesting.
