Seahawks Vs Cowboys: Mike Williams Expected to Play Sunday

Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams is expected to play on Sunday after being a late scratch last week. Williams aggravated a hamstring injury during pre-game warmups prior to the Bengals game. This week, he was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but practiced fully on Friday.

Williams has only nine catches this season in five starts after catching 65 passes for 751 yards last season in 13 games. He's yet to get on the same page with either Tarvaris Jackson or Charlie Whitehurst and will be looking to get that started on Sunday. Williams doesn't get a ton of separation but thrives on back shoulder throws and using his big frame to make the difficult catches. He's got the potential to be a beast in the the redzone so his return could be helpful for the Seahawks on Sunday.

Also on the Seahawks WR front, Deon Butler is close to returning from the physically unable to perform list as he recovers from a broken leg suffered last season. Butler's roster spot is definitely in question - the Seahawks are deep at receiver and Butler may not have a role on this team. Per Pete Carroll, the Seahawks have until Tuesday to put him on the active roster.
