The Seattle Seahawks are probably going to have issues in the run game now that right tackle John Moffitt is out for the rest of the season. Those offensive issues don't get any easier as right guard James Carpenter will join him. Carpenter tore his ACL during practice earlier this week and will now miss the remainder of the season. Breno Giacomini is slated to take Carpenter's place.
It's hard not to see the Seahawks offense taking a few steps back. Both Tarvaris Jackson and Marshawn Lynch have been progressively enjoying more success as the season's wore on as both the rookies Moffitt and Carpenter have adjusted to their new roles. With them gone and guys like Giacomini and Paul McQuistan in their place, you should expect to see the Seahawks struggle to try and pass protect Jackson and keep the run game working. Tough situation for Seattle, who finally looked like it was hitting its groove.
