Fantasy Football Week 8 Start/Sit: Not Many Options Up In Seattle

With running backs constantly finding themselves injured and an ever evolving situation at quarterback, it's a bit of a no-man's-land for fantasy football owners wither players from the Seattle Seahawks. They take on another staunch defense from the midwest in the Cincinnati Bengals this week, here's a look at some of the Seahawks options for you fantasy squad for week 8.

Marshawn LynchNumberfire.com lists Lynch as high risk choice on your starting squad this week after being scratched late against the Browns due to back spasms. Lynch has also been dealing with some ankle problems this season a well, and due to the unpredictable nature of 'spasms' may not be available this week. Either way, if you have a better option at RB then go for it, especially against a Bengals D that is allowing only 89 yards to opponents this season, fifth best in the league.

Prediction: Sit

Sidney Rice: Numberfire lists Rice as a very high risk choice this week, and I can do nothing but agree. With only 17 catches and one touchdown this season for Rice, there isn't much hope for him breaking out against this Bengals D with either Tavaris Jackson or Charlie Whitehurst throwing him the ball. Hopefully he can have a Plaxico Burriss type game with with TD's, but I just don't see it happening against the Bengals this week.

Prediction: Sit

Ben Obomanu: With 30 targets and two touchdowns this season, Obomanu has been one of the more consistent offensive players on this Seahawks roster. He may be benefitting from the attention placed on Sideny Rice by the defense, but nevertheless is a decent option if you need another receiver. He's another high risk player for Numberfire, but if you really, really need him he's probably available in most leagues.

Prediction: Sit (unless absolutely needed)

Seattle Defense: They did well against the Browns last week, but the Browns don't have the kind of offensive weapons that the Bengals do, especially at the receiver position. That being said I don't foesee Andy Dalton torching Seattle's D all afternoon, nor do I think the Bengals will put up a lot of points this week, so I'd say this would be a good week for them in fantasy if you other defense is on a bye.

Prediction: Start
