Seahawks vs. Browns: Staunch Defense Leads to 0-0 Score After First Quarter

It was a war of attrition to say the least in the first quarter between the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns, leading to a total of three first downs apiece in the first fifteen minutes and no score on the board at Browns Stadium.

Charlie Whitehurst lead the charge, going 4/7 for 25 yards in the first quarter, though he recorded a fumble that the Seahawks would eventually recover. Justin Forsett and Leon Washington have hit the ground running, with Forsett racking up 13 yards on three carries and Washington 11 yards on two carries. Mike Williams leads the team in receptions with one for ten yards.

As for the Browns, Colt McCoy finished the first quarter 2/6 for 16 yards, while Peyton Hillis' backup Montario Hardesty is gaining some ground in the running game, carrying the ball seven times for 31 yards.

Hopefully the offense can get something going before heading into the locker room for halftime.
