The cloud of uncertainty surrounding the Seattle Seahawks' Aaron Curry may be starting to clear up, as the team is said to be restructuring his contract; a sign that their 2009 number one draft pick might be getting traded:
per Seahawks insider Danny O'Neil:
Trade rumors have been swirling for weeks, and the possibility of Curry leaving Seattle is looking more and more like a reality. Scott Enyeart has reported via twitter that Curry was not at practice on Wednesday at that his locker is cleared out at team headquarters, while Dave Boling tweeted that Curry has spoken to players who have said their goodbyes to Curry already and cited the pressure of a high draft pick were weighing on him heavily.
Curry lost his strongside linebacker job to rookie K.J. Wright in week three of the season, and has been shifted around the 'Hawks defense to try and find him the right fit. Unfortunately it seems though it hasn't been working out as he'sbeen reportedly been getting shopped by the team for a while now. There's been speculation from a number of teams with interest in Curry, including the Oakland Raiders, though just where he might end up remains a mystery at this very moment.
In his three seasons with the Seahawks, Curry has totaled 156 tackles (130 solo) along with five and a half sacks, four forced fumbles, and nine passes deflected. There are a lot of defenses around the league that could use a player like Curry, but his contract restructuring and other team's defensive personel will play large factors as to where he just might land.
