NFL Playoff Schedule: Patriots-Jets On Tap At 1:30 P.M. On CBS

The main event of this weeks NFL playoff slate kicks off on Sunday afternoon as the New England Patriots take on the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium on CBS. The Jets and Pats took to the media all week, trashing everything under the sun about each other ahead of Sunday’s grudge match. The flames of the rivalry have been sufficiently stoked, with only the game itself, and a berth in the AFC championship, remaining.

Here’s the schedule and what’s at stake.

New England Patriots vs. New York Jets, 1:30 p.m. on CBS. Jim Nantz and Phil Simms have the call for CBS.

If the Patriots win, they’ll host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC championship game next Saturday at Gillette Stadium. The Steelers took care of business yesterday, using a last-second field goal to drop the Baltimore Ravens at Heinz Field. If the Jets win, they’ll travel to Pittsburgh next Saturday.

The Patriots and Jets split the regular season series. The Jets won the first meeting, 28-14, in week two while the Patriots took the second in week 13, 45-3.
