More On Chester Pitts' Release

Pete Carroll elaborated on the Seahawks latest set of roster moves today, noting that Chester Pitts still hadn't recovered from an offseason knee surgery and wouldn't be ready to go this weekend. Because of the need for offensive linemen, the Seahawks were forced to let him go (via Curtis Crabtree)

That doesn't mean it's over for Pitts. Carroll said the Seahawks would try to bring him back later, when the numbers and his Pitts' health allow them to do so (via John Boyle).
