In a surprise move today, the Seahawks released guard Chester Pitts. The Everett Herald's John Boyle reported the roster move on Twitter.

In addition to releasing Pitts, the Hawks also released running back Chris Henry to sign recently waived Mike Gibson to the practice squad. The Tacoma News Tribune's Eric Williams reported those moves on Twitter, as well.
