Kellen Winslow is playing like a soldier. The Tampa Bay tight end has simply been too much for the Seahawks, marching through the Seattle secondary at will. On Tampa’s first drive of the second half, Winslow’s 21-yard touchdown grab capped a 10 play, 98 yard touchdown drive to give the Bucs a 24-7 lead over the Seahawks.
Through two and a half quarters, Winslow has caught six passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns, making his fantasy owners very happy. Josh Freeman has spread the ball around so far, hitting 10 different receivers on the day. Still, Winslow has easily been his favorite target against the Seahawks and has taken advantage of it.
Seattle backed the Bucs up to the two yard line after a 58-yard Jon Ryan punt, but the Seattle defense was completely helpless against the pass. The run defense has improved, but Freeman has had all day to pick the Hawks apart. Freeman has thrown for 215 yards and three touchdown, including a perfect drive to start the second half.
With just over six minutes to go in the second half, the Bucs lead the Seahawks, 24-7.
