Matt Hasselbeck’s turnover woes continue to get worse. After a turnover-free first half, Hasselbeck has turned the ball over twice on as many possession in the second half, allowing the Atlanta Falcons to take complete control of the game. Hasselbeck handed the Falcons a touchdown the first time around, fumbling the ball in the end zone.
After getting the ball back and beginning to move the ball, Hasselbeck looked to Ben Obomanu on a double move. Obomanu was covered and Hasselbeck was intercepted by Brent Grimes. The Falcons capitalized, though the Seahawks defense did bend but not break.
Matt Ryan drove the Falcons down the field, but the Seahawks defense, backed-up against their own goal line, forced a Matt Bryant field goal after making three stops inside the 10 yard line. The field goal capped an eight-play, 30 yard drive.
In the third quarter, Atlanta leads Seattle, 27-10.
