Reggie Bush Inactive For New Orleans Saints

It appeared New Orleans running back Reggie Bush was well on the way to making a return to action this week after breaking his fibula in week two. That return will have to wait one more week, at least, as Bush is on the inactive list this week. Joining him is fellow running back Pierre Thomas, leaving the running duties to former Seattle Seahawk Julius Jones.

ESPN NFC West blogger Mike Sando tweeted the inactive list this morning.

The Saints were waiting for Bush to go through warm-ups in the Super Dome today to see how he'd respond. Reports from New Orleans said he was moving fine, cutting and running with ease while getting loose ahead of today's game. Whatever the reason may be, the Saints are taking it slow with his recovery, opting to hold him out until at least next week.

Jeremy Shockey joins Thomas and Bush on the inactive list. In his place, Jimmy Graham will start at tight end for New Orleans.
