It should be established by now that the NFC West is not exactly the best division in the NFL...and might in fact be the worst.
↵But with the help of an Arizona Cardinals bye and the wheels falling off for the Oakland Raiders giving the San Francisco 49ers their first win, the division managed to go undefeated this week. And there were highlights all around.

A few highlights in looking at where NFC West teams rank in various statistical categories through Week 6:The San Francisco 49ers' defense surged from 17th to 10th in yards allowed per game after a dominating performance against Oakland. ↵The Seattle Seahawks' third-down defense jumped to a No. 10 ranking, an improvement of 18 spots, after holding the Chicago Bears without a conversion in 12 attempts. ↵The St. Louis Rams' defense jumped from 20th to 11th in sacks per pass attempt after collecting seven sacks against the San Diego Chargers. ↵
What does that mean? NFC West teams also rank in the teens in the power rankings (Fox even has more than one). I think it's fair to say that what SBN's Turf Show Times said about the Rams applies well to the division.
