Montana State vs. Seattle 2012: TV schedule, game time, odds and more

The Redhawks kick off their season Sunday night.

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

The Seattle University Redhawks host the Montana State Bobcats at 6 p.m. PT in KeyArena on Sunday night in the opening game for both teams. The contest will be televised on ROOT Sports.

Seattle is favored by 9 1/2 in this WAC-Big Sky matchup. This will mark the beginning of SU's first season in the WAC after spending the last three as an independent. The Redhawks finished 2011-12 with a 12-15 record, but won six of their last seven games. Seattle was predicted to finish eighth for their initial season in the WAC by the media.

Montana State went 12-17 last year, and ended the campaign by losing nine of their last 10 games. The Bobcats have been picked to finish eighth in the Big Sky.

The start of the season brings some difficult tests for Seattle. The Redhawks will head east to face the Virginia Cavaliers next Saturday, then play Stanford and Boise State after hosting Pacific Lutheran.
