Seattle Remains Winless On The Road Despite Broussard's Career-High

Seattle University was shooting slightly better in the first half of Game Two of the 2K Sports Classic against host UC Irvine last night, but then in the second half reverted back to sub-40 percent shooting and ended up losing 85-77.

Forward Aaron Broussard turned in an outstanding shooting performance, scoring a career-high 25 points on 10-for-16 shooting. However, outside Broussard and Alex Jones (6-for-11 shooting) the rest of the team was 12-for-43. Ultimately, the Redhawks' 35.9 percent second half shooting combined with Irvine's 44.8 percent second half shooting was the difference in this game, particularly taking Seattle U's 4-for-21 three point shooting into account.

Broussard scored seven of Seattle U's points during an 8-3 run that cut the Anteater lead in half with 4:50 remaining in regulation. Jones hit a layup to bring the Redhawks within one at 76-75 with 1:29 left, but Patrick Rembert hit a three-pointer and followed that by going 4-of-4 at the free throw line in the final minute to help ice the game for the home team.
