During the NBA TV pregame show ahead of Wednesday night's NBA playoff matchup between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets, a statistic caught Charles Barkley's eyes. On a graphic comparing the Nuggets and Thunder, the historical playoff record of the two teams popped up proclaiming the Thunder were 7-2 all-time against the Nuggets at home in the NBA playoffs. But how could that be? The Thunder have only been in existence for three years.
↵NBA TV used the Seattle Sonics history, factoring it into the Thunders playoff record while digging up the statistic, of course. But instead of letting it pass by unnoticed, Barkley put a halt to the show and went off, railing the statistic and the shared use of Sonics history. Check out the video of Barkley bringing the heat below, provided by SonicsGate.
↵↵Charles says "you can't take another city's stats" before adding "if you're gonna lump Oklahoma City's stats together with Seattle's, I'm gonna lump my stats together with Michael Jordan's. We were from the same era." Preach, on Charles. Preach on.
