Nate Robinson Traded To Oklahoma City Thunder In Kendrick Perkins Deal

Nate Robinson is has been traded as the Boston Celtics make moves right at the NBA trade deadline. Boston dealt Kendrick Perkins to Oklahoma City for Jeff Green and others already, and Robinson will join Perkins in Oklahoma City, according to a report. The deal sends Perkins and Robinson to the Thunder, with Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic headed to Boston. No further details were available.

For the second year in a row, Robinson found himself on the block as the Celtics looked to make a trade ahead of the deadline. Robinson’s inclusion in the deal doesn’t come as a shock, though Perkins being traded did send shockwaves through the NBA landscape. The deal came down just before noon, right as the NBA trade deadline was passing.

For Seattle fans, this deal has to sting a bit. Robinson, a hometown hero here, will now head to the Thunder, the team formerly known as our Seattle Sonics. Fans of the Sonics are still upset over having the team snatched away, and this deal has to make Seattle fans even more mad. If we’re playing the “what if” game, Robinson could’ve been headed to Seattle at the trade deadline, but instead will play for the team Clay Bennett and company stole away.
