The Seattle Mariners announced Tuesday afternoon that they've added seven players to their September roster.
First baseman/outfielder Mike Carp, who has been on the disabled list since Aug. 14 has been activated. Carp has struggled in 49 games for the M's this year, hitting .206 with five home runs and 20 RBI.
Carlos Trifunel, a shortstop, was called up from Triple-A Tacoma after finishing second on the Rainiers in hits with 129 on the 2012 season. His first appearance in a Mariners uniform will be his MLB debut.
Alexi Liddi returns to the Mariners after hitting .270, with 11 home runs and 30 RBI for the Rainiers.
The Mariners also recalled pitchers Shawn Kelley and Hector Noesi, outfielder Casper Wells, and 30-year-old first baseman Luis Jimenez.
