Mariners Vs. Blue Jays Final Score: Seattle Secures Series With 3-2 Win

For the second straight day, the Seattle Mariners managed to hang on to an early lead against the Toronto Blue Jays. The M's picked up a 3-2 victory on Wednesday evening to secure the series win. They'll go for the three-game sweep on Thursday.

Miguel Olivo got the Mariners on the board in the second inning with a solo home run; his 10th of the year. In the top of the fourth, Franklin Gutierrez hit a two-out, two-run single to make it 3-0. The Blue Jays answered back in the bottom of the inning with a two-run upper-deck homer from Edwin Encarnacion. The blast was the 39th of the season for Encarnacion and it cut the Seattle lead to one run.

Luckily, Kevin Millwood and the Mariners bullpen were able to make that lead hold up. Millwood allowed two runs on two hits and a walk in five innings of work, but the rest of the Seattle bullpen only allowed a pair of walks over the final four innings.
