Don't look now, but the Seattle Mariners have won five in a row and have won seven of their past eight games at Safeco Field. They will welcome the Cleveland Indians to town, who have been playing as of late as though they've all been sewn together in a bundle of crapulence.
What's more, everyone should circle Tuesday's game on their calendars. That will be the first start for Felix Hernandez since achieving perfection. To celebrate the occasion, Safeco is extending the King's Court to the entire stadium, handing out 34,000 of the signature yellow T-shirts. It should be a special event, regardless of the outcome.
TV Schedule & Probable Pitchers
Monday's game will begin at 7:10 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Kevin Millwood is coming off a quality start and is looking for just his fifth win. He will take on Ubaldo Jimenez, who has the best chance of stopping the Seattle win streak of any of the Cleveland starters during the trip.
First pitch on Tuesday will be at 7:10 p.m. PT and the game will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. King Felix takes the mound in this one. Somewhat unfairly, he is scheduled to pitch against Roberto Hernandez (the former Fausto Carmona), who was abysmal in his last start against the Los Angeles Angels. Hernandez is 0-1 with a 7.50 ERA.
Wednesday's finale begins at 12:40 p.m. PT and will be televised on ROOT Sports. You can catch the radio broadcast on ESPN 710. Hisashi Iwakuma continues to improve since transitioning to the starter role to take over for Hector Noesi. He will take on Zach McAllister, who is 5-4 with a 3.64 ERA.
