Mariners Vs. Athletics Lineups: Seattle Hopes Carlos Peguero Can Contribute

The Seattle Mariners are hoping to halt their latest skid before heading into the All-Star break. The team has made a few roster moves over the past couple weeks and may very well make some more before the trade deadline. Their latest move was to send pitcher Hector Noesi down to Triple-A and recall outfielder Carlos Peguero. Peguero will likely not stick long, as he is replacing Franklin Gutierrez, who landed on the seven-day concussion DL and should be back after the break.

Still, Peguero gets the start on Friday night and the Mariners are hoping that he can produce in the series opener against the Oakland Athletics at Coliseum.
