Mariners Vs. Royals Final Score: Seattle Rolls To 6-1 Win

At this point, the Seattle Mariners are likely wishing they could play against the Kansas City Royals every day. Last week, the M's took three of four games from the Royals at Kaufman Stadium in a series of high-scoring affairs. On Friday night, Seattle held Kansas City to just one run for the second night in a row as they picked up the 6-1 win.

The Mariners jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first on a three-run homer from John Jaso. Salvador Perez hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the second for the Royals' only run of the game. The M's answered back in the bottom of the second and stretched their lead out to 5-1 with an RBI double from Dustin Ackley and a Jaso sacrifice fly. Mike Carp belted a homer in the sixth for one last insurance run.

Blake Beavan evened up his record at 6-6 and had yet another quality start since being recalled, giving up one run on four hits and one walk in 6.2 innings.

Seattle will attempt to capture the series win on Saturday.
